Bond Conference 2013: three questions for NGOs

By George Flatters on 31 October 2013

Aptivate are exhibiting at the Bond 2013 event on 5th November at the Business Design Centre in Islington, London.

We will be asking attendees three key questions about the organisations they work with:

1. Is your website excluding visitors from the Global South?

Many organisations’ websites are not accessible to people in the developing world, to smartphone users, or to people with visual impairments.

Aptivate make websites that are accessible for users who don’t have broadband and people who use smartphones and tablets to browse the internet.

2. Is your M&E system a help or a hindrance?

Many organisations have a dizzying array of spreadsheets with data that stakeholders don't trust; they aspire to something more effective.

Aptivate are developing a web-based M&E system for NGOs. The best bit? It’s open-source so there are no license fees. We would like your input.

3. Is your decision-making participatory?

Many organisations would like to engage stakeholders in more participatory decision-making processes. Finding the budget for proper engagement can be a real challenge.

Aptivate have developed Econsensus, a web-based tool for discussing proposals, raising concerns and making decisions in a transparent way.
