We help those working in International Development achieve their goals. Our variety of projects, ranges from software development to in-country workshop facilitation to research and technology evaluation. Working with local communities, civil society, NGOs, international agencies and local or national governments to support their social, human, technology and infrastructure development. Take a look at who we work with.
We like to work in an iterative way always learning, changing, building and evaluating. Our services sit in these four areas and we can either work with you to design a complete project with the services you need or we can help deliver a particular service as part of your project. Research & analysis
Working with organisations to determine how technology can help them. We come from diverse backgrounds in industrial and commercial software development, facilitation and graphic design. Our wide range of experience gives us the skills to advise on almost anything technical. For example we helped iSchool Zambia to solve a wide variety of technical challenges in building a robust e-learning environment for schools.
Participatory workshops shape the beginning of most of our projects, using tools to work directly with end users discover their needs. Take a look at our UX Discovery workshop Activities document, it explains a number off tools that can be used to build a picture of the requirements.
Also known as UX, means making sure your users can easily use the technology solutions you provide for them. This can range from having an experienced UX designer on a project team to an in depth user testing process. We find out what works, and why. We helped PreventionWeb to assess the usability of their websites.
Training & facilitation
We love sharing our skills and learning new ones! We facilitate workshops on basic computing skills, Internet mail server administration, open space technology, information accessibility across the digital divide, and almost anything you want. We usually build capacity through workshops which empower participants to create and direct their own learning.
Participation & consensus
We can help you adopt a process for participatory agile software development or a consensus decision making. We have trained government ministries on Agile practices, mentored project managers for Knowledge Point and lead change projects in various producer co-operatives. Our online tool eConsensus helps groups make and keep track of decisions.

We help you and your users to find the most appropriate solutions, and respond quickly to changing requirements using our agile approach. We can also improve and customise your legacy applications. You can see our most recent projects on our work page.

Mobile and tablets are now available everywhere and a growing number of people around the world are using them to access the internet. We are experienced in creating responsive websites that work on different screen sizes, allowing your users to use you site or service from any device.
We want IT to work efficiently and cost-effectively for us and for you. We use open source software, commodity hardware, scripting and automated testing to build efficient, reliable IT systems. We also train others on how to build this infrastructure, through AfNOG, our blog and our open source projects.
